Rukungiri: Youth in Rukungiri District have been encouraged to stay productive, learn business skills, and avoid negative influences.
This call was made on January 9, by the LC5 Chairperson for Rukungiri district Geoffrey Kyomukama during an interview with our reporter at the Rukungiri District headquarters.
Kyomukama urged young people to engage in meaningful activities, assist their parents with household chores, and steer clear of harmful behaviors such as drug abuse, delinquency, gambling, adultery, and negative peer pressure. Rwamugata highlighted that parents should set an example, provide guidance, foster accountability, and support their children through life’s challenges. He stressed the responsibility of parents to protect their children’s rights and make decisions that ensure their well-being and proper development until they are capable of living independently.
