Toddler dies on Spot in Kisoro road accident.

Kisoro: A three year old boy in Kisoro district on Tuesday May 6, 2025 died on spot in a tragic accident along Rukungiri-Nyanamo maram road.

The deceased is Dan Ainembabazi, a son to Deusi Twinamatsiko, a resident of Nyamasinda village in Nyanamo town council, Kisoro district.

The accident which involved Motor vehicle reg number UBD186R Toyota Land cruiser green in color and a pedestrian occurred at around 12:00 noon at Byarutagara trading center in Nyamasinda village, Nyanamo town council.

ASP Maate Elly, the Kigezi region police spokesperson said the vehicle was being driven by Christopher Ngabirano aged 44, a resident of Southern division in Kabale municipality.

It is alleged that the motor vehicle which was coming from Rukungiri side heading to Nyanamo town council crushed little Ainembabazi who entered the road abruptly making it difficult for the driver to avoid hitting him since he was too close.

Maate confirmed that after getting information, Police led by Kisoro district OC traffic Asp Kushaba Micheal visited the scene and documented it.

Statements were recorded from eye witnesses and the parents of the deceased.

The body was taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary and was postmortem done.

The Motor vehicle was towed to Kisoro Police Station pending IOV inspection.

Investigations are now going at hand to establish the details of the accident.

Maate has however advised Parents and guardians to always accompany their children on the ways to avoid such accidents.
