The projects include the renovation of the Kagogo slaughter slab and the construction of a two-stance lined VIP latrine at Karangaro Health Centre II.

The commissioning ceremony was held on May 14, and was led by the Rukungiri Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Wilberforce Ahimbisibwe Ongom, together with municipal leaders and officials from Western Division.

She encouraged councillors and residents to closely monitor government projects and report any shadow works to authorities to ensure value for money.

Western Division Senior Assistant Town Clerk John Kwesiga advised contractors to always complete work on time and use quality materials to ensure durable projects and proper accountability.

The Deputy Mayor of Rukungiri Municipality, Bernard Turyahabwe, asked technical staff to remain open to public advice and feedback on government projects to improve service delivery and ensure proper use of public funds.
