Rukungiri Christ the King SACCO Holds 5th AGM, Members Advised on Financial Discipline 

Rukungiri: Rukungiri Christ the King Church Community SACCO held its 5th Annual General Meeting on March 29, at Christ the King Catholic Parish in Rukungiri Municipality. 

The Rukungiri District Commercial Officer Caroline Atuhaire, advised SACCO members to be cautious when taking loans and avoid becoming guarantors unnecessarily. She also urged SACCO staff to educate members on how to use their loans effectively.

The guest of honor, Assistant Centenary Business Banking Officer Justus Tindigarukayo, encouraged members to buy more shares to increase their earnings and achieve financial stability. He also emphasized the importance of discipline in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and staying organized.

The Chairperson of the Board of Directors George Tumwesigye, reported that the SACCO has assets worth UGX 833,910,761 and a projected income of UGX 220,900,000 for 2025. He highlighted key achievements, including increased membership, share capital, and savings. 

However, he also pointed out challenges such as lack of awareness about account details, and loan defaulters.
