Minister Muhwezi fullfills his ironsheets donation pledge to Bwambara SS
Rukungiri: The Member of parliament for Rujumbura constituency who is also the minister for security Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi Katugugu has honoured his pledge of iron sheets donation to Bwambara secondary school in bwambara sub-county, Rukungiri district.
A total of 310 iron sheets worth 19 million shillings were on Saturday delivered by the minister’s political assistant lsaac Nuwamanya who handed them over to the school authorities led by the head teacher Justine Tuhirirwe.
Tuhirirwe while receiving iron sheets appreciated minister Muhwezi for his continued support to the school.
She however cited challenges the school is facing including insufficient houses for teachers, few computers and a small number of teachers on government payroll.
Chris Kagayano the Bwambara sub-county LCIII chairperson commended the minister for his relentless support to his constituency in different areas of development.
Meanwhile Rev. Canon George Bazaahuza, the archdeacon of Bwambara archdeaconry who is also the chairman board of governors for Bwambara secondary school said it was going to be hard for the parents to roof the school buildings if the minister did not fulfil his pledge. He said Minister Muhwezi had made the pledge during their previous fundraising functions.
