Women Encouraged to Embrace Leadership and Spiritual Strength in Christianity
Rukungiri: Women have been encouraged to be stronger and more confident in their Christian faith, take on leadership roles, and be bold in their spirituality.
This call was made by Pastor Rebecca Kakwerere of Rukungiri Community Church during the women’s conference held at the same Church located in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality on March 1.
Rebecca emphasized that the main purpose of the conference is to guide women on how to prepare their families spiritually and strengthen their Christian faith so they can be a source of support and guidance for their loved ones.
The conference is being held under the theme inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:8: We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.
She encouraged women not to let life’s challenges break them, emphasizing their role in bringing spiritual depth, nurturing relationships, and using their emotional intelligence to succeed, especially in ministry.
Miriam Rwabushaija, chairperson of the women’s group at Rukungiri Community Church, highlighted that the conference fosters unity and spiritual growth among women.
Participants, including Joy Amos from Buteraniro Miracle Centre Church in Ntungamo District, Irene Bukyana from Ishaka Community Church in Bushenyi District, Natukunda Prossy, vice pastor at Deliverance Church Kabale, and Allen from Rukungiri Community Church, expressed gratitude for the opportunity. They shared that the conference provided them with valuable insights on strengthening their families and moving forward positively.
