St. Mark SS Nyakibale Celebrates Excellent 2025 UCE Performance

Rukungiri: St. Mark Secondary School Nyakibale has celebrated its outstanding 2025 UCE results at the school grounds in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

The school ranked 3rd in Rukungiri District among mixed day and boarding schools, 8th in the Kigezi region, and 148th nationwide.

The Headteacher, Fortunate Akanyihayo Rukundo, said the function was organized to mark four key events: celebrating the UCE results, welcoming the pioneer Senior Five students, receiving the new Senior One students, and celebrating St. Mark’s Day.

She highlighted the school’s strong academic performance, noting that all candidates passed in result one and qualified to join A-Level and other higher institutions.

The main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Mathias Kwehangana, Vice Rector of St. Charles Lwanga Seminary Nyakibale, urged parents to closely monitor their children’s movements and follow up on their academic progress.

He also advised students to support their parents with home activities, saying this helps build discipline and contributes to success in education.

Rev. Fr. Cleophas Mugabe, a priest from Nyakibale Catholic Parish and the school chaplain, encouraged students to use their holidays wisely, support their parents, and avoid bad peer groups in their communities.
