Rukungiri Municipality Warns Against Rebuilding Illegal Structures During Enforcement Exercise
Rukungiri: Rukungiri Municipality yesterday June 8, marked the fifth day of its enforcement exercise aimed at removing temporary and illegal structures in line with the new trade order policy being implemented in urban centres across the country.
Speaking during the exercise, the Senior Physical Planner for Rukungiri Municipality, Vastine Kenganzi, urged residents to stop rebuilding structures without approval from the municipality.
Kenganzi warned that any unauthorized structures erected after the enforcement exercise will be demolished again. She emphasized that the municipality will not allow illegal developments to remain, regardless of the money or effort invested by property owners.

The Health Inspector for Rukungiri Municipality, Evas Asiimwe also advised residents intending to build structures to first consult municipal offices, noting that consultation services are provided free of charge.
She also called upon owners of structures that have been marked for demolition to remove them themselves.
