
President Museveni Expected to Begin Three-Day Visit to Ankole Sub-Region Today
Ankole: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to start a three-day visit to Ankole sub-region to assess the progress of key government wealth creation programs, including the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga.
According to State Minister for Investment and Privatization, Evelyn Anite, the President will visit Sheema, Rubirizi, and Ibanda districts today February 25, where he will interact with beneficiaries of these programs to evaluate their impact.
Tomorrow, he is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting with Ankole leaders to discuss development strategies, focusing on sustainable farming, health, disaster management, education, and infrastructure.
The visit will conclude on Thursday with a public rally in Rwampara District, where thousands of people are expected to attend.
Local authorities, led by LC1 officials in Rwampara, have been mobilizing communities through door-to-door sensitization ahead of the rally.
