Police in Kisoro Arrest Two Suspects Over Homosexuality and Human Trafficking

Kisoro: Police in Kisoro District have detained two suspects and are hunting for two others over allegations of homosexuality and human trafficking.

Kisoro District Police Commander, Ben Niwamanya Kashumbusha, addressing the media on January 28, at his office in Kisoro Municipality, confirmed the arrests and revealed that the suspects were apprehended last week at an undisclosed hotel in Kisoro.

According to Kashumbusha, the suspects lured a young man from Bukedea District with a false promise of a job at a hotel in Kisoro. Upon arrival, the victim was directed to stay at a specific hotel while awaiting further instructions. However, the suspects attempted to force him into homosexual acts. Pretending to comply, the young man cooperated until he realized there was no job as promised. He then sought help from Kisoro Police.

The arrested suspects were identified as David Ntihabyose Fressian, a resident of Nyakabande Subcounty, and Manirakiza Fideli of Kabaya Village in Kisoro Municipality.

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly admitted to engaging in homosexual activities.
