Parents Decry Poor Learning Conditions at Kiganga Primary School.
Rukungiri: Parents and guardians of pupils at Kiganga Primary School in Kiganga Village, Nyabushenyi Parish, Nyarushanje Sub-county, Rukungiri District, have expressed concern over the school’s deteriorating infrastructure.
During a recent visit by our news reporter on April 4, it was found that the existing classrooms have cracks, leaking roofs, and some remain incomplete. Both parents and school administrators described the situation as alarming.
Parents, including Henry Katushabe and Evas Twinomugisha, accused the government of neglecting the school, revealing that since its establishment, only one classroom block has been built by the government. They further stated that parents raised funds to construct another block, but it remains incomplete due to financial constraints. As a result, pupils are forced to study in dusty, unfinished classrooms.
