The LCIII Chairperson of Nyarushanje Sub-county Michael Musime, welcomed the donation and praised its potential positive impact. He noted that the ambulances will greatly benefit vulnerable groups, especially pregnant mothers and the elderly, by improving their access to medical care and emergency services.
Residents such as Annet Kyampaire from Buhesi Village and Jackline Turyamuhaki from Kiteme Cell, Ihunga Parish, expressed gratitude for the donation. They shared how the lack of ambulances in rural areas had severely affected maternal health, forcing pregnant women to rely on unsafe and unreliable transportation to reach health centers. They said such delays have often resulted in increased maternal mortality due to late medical intervention.
