MP Rutahigwa Urges Voters to Embrace Voters Register Update Exercise.

Rukungiri: The Member of Parliament for Rukungiri Municipality, Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa, has called on the public to actively participate in the ongoing national voter registration verification exercise in Uganda.

Dr. Rutahigwa made this appeal on January 27, during an interview with our reporter after meeting a section of ward and division councilors from Rukungiri Municipality and district at Geso Inn Guest House, located in Kinyasano Ward, Western Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

He emphasized the importance of checking registration details in both the Electoral Commission’s voters’ register and the NRM Yellow book Register to ensure eligibility for the 2025/26 elections. Rutahigwa urged citizens to register so they can participate in choosing reliable leaders capable of delivering quality services to their communities.

MP Rutahigwa also encouraged voters to scrutinize candidates’ backgrounds, particularly their achievements and contributions to the community, before making electoral decisions.
