
Invest your Group Money in Productive Ventures to defeat dependence syndrome-Andrew Kikira Advises Residents.
Rukungiri: The Rukungiri Municipality county Hopeful Andrew Ankunda Kikira has asked residents of Karangaro ward in Western division to embrace government initiatives aimed at fighting poverty if they are to become rich.
Ankunda was speaking during the Easter Monday service on 21st April 2025 at Rwemishura Catholic Church in Kahororo cell, Karangaro ward, western division, Rukungiri Municipality.
The Rukungiri Municipality MP hopeful said government programs like Parish Development Model target the poor ones who are still engaged in subsistence farming.
Ankunda further urged residents who are united in groups to invest their group money in productive ventures like candle making and bakery rather than keeping it on bank accounts. This he said will help them make more profits thus defeating the dependence syndrome.

While preaching at the same service, Gelevaz Tumusiime, a catechist at Rwemishura Catholic Hiika condemned the practice of bribery that has currently rocked the country, mostly the justice department.
He said the intention of giving out a bribe is always to compromise the truth and asked Christians to desist from giving and taking bribes.
