Hon. Mujuni Mpitsi Challenges NRM Leaders to Stay Active and Serve the People
Rukungiri: Leaders elected under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party structure have been challenged to actively serve the people and work hard to mobilize support for the party ahead of the next general elections.
This call was made on May 6, by Hon. Mujuni Lawrence Mpitsi Singa, the NRM flag bearer hopeful for Rubabo County, after being elected unopposed as the NRM mainstream chairperson for Rugoma Cell, Kacence Parish in Nyakishenyi Sub-county, Rukungiri District.
While addressing elected NRM leaders and voters, Hon. Mpitsi criticized past party structures for being inactive, only becoming visible during elections. He urged the newly elected leaders to change this narrative by staying active and committed to party activities throughout their term.
Hon. Mpitsi pledged to fully mobilize support for the NRM party from the grassroots level and encouraged other elected leaders to do the same. He also urged residents of Rugoma Cell and Kacence Parish to form associations and village SACCOs to improve their financial well-being. He promised his full support for such initiatives.
He further called for unity and cooperation as the elections approach and encouraged parents to support their children’s education by providing the necessary scholastic materials, noting that education is the key to a brighter future.
