Gospel Artist Onesmus Karuma Set to Launch Akanyekundira Album in Rukungiri

Rukungiri: Rukungiri District gospel artist Onesmus Karuma is set to launch his new album, Akanyekundira, on 13th June 2026 at Switz Gardens in Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District.

Karuma revealed this during a press conference held on June 1, at Switz Gardens ahead of the Akanyekundira Album Concert.

The concert is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. Speaking to journalists, Karuma said several gospel artists will join him to entertain the public. He noted that before the concert, there will be friendly football matches at Kebisoni Town Playground.

The first match will be between Country Radio staff and Country Radio listeners at 2:00 PM, followed by a game between Country Radio FC and Kebisoni Boda Boda FC at 4:00 PM. After the matches, participants and fans will proceed to Switz Gardens for the concert.

Some of the gospel artists expected to perform at the concert include Prince Roland, Lady Sarah, Muchurezi Muntrive, Naum Tembo, Pastor Obed, Sketch MC, and among others. The artists pledged to perform and confirmed their availability for the event.

The Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Karire Church of Uganda, Rev. David Kwesiga, who attended the press conference, described music ministry as a calling and encouraged Karuma to remain humble, obedient, and dedicated to serving God.

Rev. Kwesiga also advised him to continue building his profile and maintain a good public image through transparency, accountability, and integrity as he serves the community through gospel music.
