Gen. Henry Tumukunde Contributes UGX 8 M to Support All Saints Church Choir Studio Project
Rukungiri: The aspiring Member of Parliament for Rukungiri Municipality General Henry Tumukunde, has contributed UGX 8 million to support the studio project of All Saints Church Choir.
He made the contribution on April 6, during a fundraising ceremony held at the church premises in Rukungiri Municipality. The event aimed to raise funds to establish a music studio that will cost over UGX 40 million.
The planned studio will help produce gospel music for various church choirs and generate income by offering recording services to gospel artists.
While speaking as the chief guest, Gen. Tumukunde praised the impact of gospel music, saying it touches souls and should be embraced in all churches. He also pledged to provide additional studio equipment.
He commended All Saints Church Choir as one of the best in North Kigezi Diocese and the entire Church of Uganda. He further encouraged the public to work hard and take part in government programs to improve their livelihoods.
Ven. Dickson Kakanyisa, the Archdeacon of Rujumbura Archdeaconry, delivered a sermon during the fundraiser. He emphasized the importance of praise and worship as a form of prayer and a way for believers to express their faith in Christ. He noted that gospel music brings joy and spiritual growth.
He added that All Saints Church Choir has previously recorded gospel songs but at high costs, which inspired the idea of building their own studio.
