Country Radio FC scores late leveller against Club Gazalinga in a-six goals thriller

Rukungiri: It was a joyful mood on Sunday September 15, 2024 as Country Radio FC scored a dramatic equalizer in friendly match against Club Gazalinga from Wakiso district at St. Gerald’s Secondary School playground in Rukungiri Municipality.

Kudos to a late strike from Mustafa that helped Country Radio FC to secure a point in a reigning 3-3 draw.

Both teams put up a spirited performance not to lose a point by the end of the match.

In a preceding game between Country Radio staff and Staff Karoli Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale, it ended 2-1 in favor of Nyakibale, but Chrispino Behimbisa alias Chris the Peacemaker, scored the only goal for Country Radio staff.

After the eye catching contests, the Resident District Commissioner for Rukungiri, Stephen Nsubuga Bewayo, in his message delivered by Keredonia Clare Bakironda, the district secretary for Education, Commercial Services, and Tourism praised Country Radio for their valuable services to the community and encouraged them to keep up the good work.

Peter Karamuzi, CEO of Club Gazalinga, expressed his gratitude to Country Radio’s Station Manager, Jackline Tumuhiirwe, for her flexibility and willingness to engage with the community.

He also thanked Country Radio for the warm welcome in Rukungiri district and for promoting their team (Club Gazalinga).
