Christians Urged to Pray for Women Facing Marital Challenges.
Rukungiri: As Uganda joins the rest of the world to celebrate Mother’s Day, the North Kigezi Mothers Union President, Joan Kyanshemeza Mutungi, has called on Christians to pray for women who are struggling in their marriages.
Mutungi made the appeal yesterday during Mother’s Day celebrations held at St. John’s Kagati Church of Uganda Parish in Kyamakanda Archdeaconry, North Kigezi Diocese.
She highlighted the growing challenges that many women face in their families, describing them as emotionally overwhelming. Kyanshemeza Mutungi stressed the importance of spiritual support for women and urged clergy to preach messages that promote love, respect, and healthy relationships within marriages.
Mutungi emphasized that men should not mistreat or suppress their wives after becoming saved. Instead, they should become responsible heads of families.
