Bwambara Leo’s Club cleans Bikurungu T/C.

Rukungiri: Bwambara Leo’s Club on Saturday September 21, 2024 cleaned Bikurungu Town Council in Bwambara sub-county, Rukungiri district as part of their cooperate social responsibility.

Joan Atuheire, the club president told our reporter after the cleaning exercise that they chose Bikurungu Town Council because it is a busy area, with thriving businesses.

Atuhaire further intimated that the activity which involved picking of the litter in the business center served to be an example to the area residents on the importance of cleanliness.

The Bikurungu Central Ward Councilor Namanya Lauben commended Bwambara Leo’s club for the job well done and promised to always remind his people on keeping Bikurungu Town Council clean.

Beatrice Kyomuhendo, a businesswoman in Bikurungu Town Council also praised Bwambara Leo’s Club for this healthy exercise and promised to always participate in activities of the same nature.

Among other activities carried were visiting Bwambara modern secondary school where they addressed students about environmental conservation, early pregnancy effects, and proper waste disposal.
