Aunt Elvi Mikkola NPS Old students call for discipline among pupils.
Rukungiri: Old students of Aunt Elvi Mikkola Nursery and Primary School in Rwakabengo cell, Kigaaga Ward, Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality have urgued pupils to focus on maintaining discipline and scoring higher grades.
They made the call on saturday, April 6th 2024 at the school premises during career guidance and old students’ reunion.
Speaking on behalf of old students, Johnson Tukwatanisa commended the school management for steering the school to the right direction and advised pupils to fight for a good name indicating that a good name is worthier than wealth.
Winnie Tukahirwa, the school director, thanked the old students for thinking about their school, urguing pupils to study hard and be exemplary like the old students who now have a better future.
Brian Niwamanya, the school Head teacher expressed his gratitude towards the old students for their thoughtful support and called upon other former students to follow their example and support their school explaining the importance of old students’ involvement in improving the quality of education for current pupils.
Pupils also received a generous donation of scholastic materials from old students which included exercise books, pens, pencils, pads, among others.
