Church Leader Urges Families to Break the Cycle of Bad Habits at Wilson Kyoshaba’s Burial
Rukungiri; Wilson Kyoshaba, 66, a resident of Buguma Cell, Nyabiteete Parish in Buyanja Sub-County, Rukungiri District, has been laid to rest, leaving behind six children, three boys and three girls.
While preaching at the burial ceremony, the Parish Priest of Yakobo Orikwera Buhandagazi Church of Uganda, Rev. Syson Gumisiriza, who is also acting Archdeacon of Nyabiteete Archdeaconry, urged people to identify and break away from negative family habits that can affect future generations.
He cited alcoholism, school dropout, witchcraft, poverty, suicide, dying at a young age and losing jobs, among other challenges, as problems that families should work together to overcome.
Rev. Gumisiriza also urged the public to sympathise with families facing such challenges instead of spreading rumours about them. He encouraged people to comfort and support affected families rather than judge them.
He further called on families experiencing such problems to take deliberate steps to address them and prevent them from affecting future generations.
