Kyabugashe High School Candidates Urged to Overcome Fear Ahead of Final Exams
Rukungiri: Students of Kyabugashe High School in Nyakagyeme Sub-county, Rukungiri District, have been urged to overcome fear and remain focused on their studies to achieve success in their future careers.
The call was made on October 7, by the Archdeacon of Kyabugashe Archdeaconry, Ven. Amos Katushabe, during a dedication service for Senior Four and Senior Six candidates ahead of their final examinations.
Ven. Katushabe said fear can affect students’ confidence and performance, urging them to put their trust in God and work hard to achieve their academic goals.
He encouraged the candidates to overcome examination anxiety through reading, regular revision and adequate preparation.
The Archdeacon also urged them to use the remaining time effectively by revising topics they had not yet covered to improve their chances of performing well in the examinations.

The Headteacher of Kyabugashe High School, Herbert Kamuntu, urged the candidates to maintain peace, continue revising and uphold good morals during the final days of their preparation.
Kamuntu also appealed to parents to provide a conducive environment for their children to study, while urging teachers to give candidates adequate time for revision.
He cautioned students against examination malpractice, emphasising the importance of maintaining discipline and integrity throughout the examination period.
A total of 190 candidates are preparing for their final examinations, including 140 Senior Four candidates and 50 Senior Six candidates.

Some of the candidates, including Gift Oshabahebwa, Lucky Wamaani, Charles Nuwagaaba and Shivan Naturinda, thanked their teachers and school administration for the guidance and support they had received during their studies.
They also appreciated their parents for meeting their school requirements and paying their school fees, pledging to work hard and perform well in the forthcoming examinations.
The candidates expressed confidence in their preparation, saying their teachers had adequately guided them.
