Rev. Obed Tumwebaze Urges Christians to Embrace Church Leadership
Rukungiri: The newly appointed parish priest of Nyakinengo Parish in Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry, North Kigezi Diocese Rev. Obed Tumwebaze, has urged Christians to cooperate with church leaders rather than opposing them.
Speaking during his farewell sermon at Munyeganyegye Parish on January 12, Rev. Tumwebaze emphasized that church leaders are chosen by God and serve as His messengers. He called on Christians to support and work alongside their newly appointed leaders to advance the gospel and foster the development of their churches and families.
Rev. Tumwebaze expressed gratitude to the Christians of Munyeganyegye Parish for their cooperation during his four years of service. He highlighted key achievements under his leadership, including purchasing land worth over 25 million shillings, fulfilling all Diocesan quotas, and providing essential church sacraments.
