Listeners apprieciate Country Radio’s good programmes
Rukungiri: As Uganda joined the rest of the world to commomerate the world radio day on Tuesday 13th February, Country radio has been recognised for its remarkable impact to community.
This was revealed by different radio listeners while in an interview with our reporter.
According to Turyashaba Julius – a fishermonger in Rukungiri central market, country radio has got different educative programs which are informative, educative and entertains. He further advised his counterparts to always listen to country radio since it has an immense coverage.
Jesus mucunguzi, a resident of Kagarama B, Northern B ward eastern division, Rukungiri municipality who also interacted with our reporter noted that he enjoys music and its impartial political talkshows on country radio. He however requested the management to boost the airwaves for proper service delivery.
Mean while, Atukwase Innocent Musana, abodaboda cyclist at Total stage stated that country Radio is a radio of the voiceless since it has helped them to express themselves. He also urged his fellow cyclists to always listen to radio yeitu (our radio) for their benefit.
World radio day is marked annualy every 13th day of February. This year’s world radio day has been celebrated under the theme, “Radio a century informing, entertaining and educating”.
