Four-Day Mission Convention Concludes at St. John’s Mugyera, Ntungamo

Ntungamo: The Missions and Outreach Director of South Ankole Diocese, Rev. Augustus Ainebyoona Byabagambi, has urged Christians to work hard to fight poverty in their families, repent their sins and turn to God.

Rev. Ainebyoona made the remarks on September 27, during the closing of a four-day Annual Mission Convention at St. John’s Mugyera Church of Uganda in Ngomba Parish, Rugarama Sub-county, Ntungamo District.

The convention was held as part of celebrations marking 27 years of salvation and evangelism at the church.

Rev. Augustus said the missioners started preaching the gospel in schools, including Imbas S.S., and in local villages, where they teach young people and other community members about salvation.

He said his mission is to preach the Word of God in schools, marketplaces, villages and churches to bring both children and the elderly closer to God.

The Parish Priest of St. John’s Mugyera Church of Uganda, Rev. Tito Tayebwa, said the conference has helped transform many people, including students, by encouraging them to turn away from sin.

He said gathering with fellow believers strengthens fellowship and encourages Christians to maintain discipline in their faith.

Participants, including Eva Kyomuhangi and Johnson Kagumenawe, thanked the missioners for organizing the conference.

Kyomugisha said attending the faith conference has strengthened their spiritual foundation, deepened their relationship with God and helped them experience physical and emotional breakthroughs.
