
Kebisoni SACCO Expands Services with New Branch in Rukungiri Municipality
Rukungiri: Kebisoni SACCO has extended its services with the launch of a new branch in Rukungiri Municipality, marking a significant step in bringing financial services closer to the people.
The new branch was officially opened on April 10, in Rukungiri Town, making it the fourth branch after the main office, Mabanga, and Nyamunuka branches. Kebisoni SACCO, which was established in 2001, now boasts over 10,000 members.
Speaking during the event, the SACCO Board Chairperson Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Safari, said the expansion reflects the institution’s commitment to empowering Ugandans by providing affordable loans for business, education, and personal development.
The Rukungiri Municipality Commercial Officer and guest of honor Michael Kamungabiirwe, urged SACCO staff and management to actively mobilize new members to grow the institution’s customer base. He assured them that the municipal commercial office will work closely with the new branch to ensure a strong partnership and proper supervision.

The Chairperson of the Business Community Chrysostom Rwakana Byaruhanga, warned SACCO leaders about common challenges that can lead to failure. He pointed out the dangers of inadequate financial planning, poor budgeting, and weak governance, which can lead to mismanagement and internal conflicts.
