Rwabukoba SS Candidates Urged to Trust in God and Believe in Themselves
Rukungiri: Students of Rwabukoba Secondary School in Ruhinda Sub-county, Rukungiri District, have been urged to remain firm, believe in themselves regardless of their family backgrounds, and put their trust in God as they prepare for their final examinations.
The call was made on October 8, by the Archdeacon of Kashenyi Archdeaconry, Ven. Edison Muhirwe, while preaching at St. James Rwabukoba Church of Uganda during a dedication service for 158 Senior Four and 94 Senior Six candidates.
The dedication service was held ahead of the Senior Four briefing scheduled by the Ministry of Education and Sports nationwide.
Ven. Muhirwe described education as a “war” that requires God’s guidance to overcome.
He urged the candidates to trust in God, remain focused and avoid fear, saying God has helped other candidates in the past and will not abandon them.
He also advised the candidates to carefully read and follow examination instructions before attempting any paper, while maintaining discipline and focus throughout the examination period.
Ven. Muhirwe commended the headteacher and staff for their efforts in developing the school and putting it on the map.
However, he urged teachers to avoid using abusive language against students and instead encourage and support them, saying God has a plan for every student.
