Moslems urged to respect Ijumaa

Rukungiri: Muslims have been encouraged to always go for prayers on Ijumaa (Friday) if they are to receive blessings from Allah.

The call was made by the Rukungiri District Dawa Officer Sheikh Swalleh Matovu who is also the Imam of Kasoroza mosque in an interview with our reporter recently.

Matovu said every Moslem should leave all the world’s engagements and pay attention to Allah’s call. He said Friday is a special day in the islamic faith and so must be respected.

The district dawa officer further stressed that Friday isn’t only special to Muslims but also to the whole world.

He said that Adam who is the grandfather of believers was created on Friday and this makes the day special adding that whoever disrespects it will face harsh judgement from Allah.
