Emptier Vehicle Locker accidently goes open, human waste spills over the main road.

Rukungiri: Residents of Rukungiri town were on Wednesday 3, 2024 left in disarray after the emptier vehicle locker accidentally opened leaving the human waste spilling all over the road.

Most of the people who were affected by the nasty smell are the Boda boda riders operating at Rwenshama stage.

While recounting the incident, motorists said that they are not happy with the practice of emptying toilets during the day. These say it should be done at night when people are done with their work and in their homes sleeping.

They added that what happened disrupted their work of transporting citizens.

Meanwhile, Business operators along Kinyasano road asked the  district leaders to take action on the people who do the cleaning and emptying of toilets during the day time.

The Rukungiri Municipality Mayor Charles Makuru in response to the situation said he was informed about the matter which he referred to, as an accident. 

He added that the police water vehicle was on its way to clean the affected area.
