Kebisoni Man Demolishes Family Toilet After Disagreement with Wife Over University Fees
Rukungiri: The Mayor of Kebisoni Town Council, Leonard Muhunguzi, has ordered the arrest of two people in Rwabigangura Trading Centre in Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District, for demolishing their toilets following family misunderstandings.
Muhunguzi issued the directive on October 15 after the town council discovered that the two individuals, whose names were not disclosed, had failed to construct toilets despite being given 14 days to do so. The deadline expired on October 14, 2026.
According to Muhunguzi, one of the individuals demolished his toilet following a disagreement with his wife over taking their child to university.
He said the man became angry after his wife insisted on taking the child to university and later demolished the toilet, an act the mayor said was intended to punish the family.

The Senior Assistant Town Clerk of Kebisoni Town Council, Norman Agaba, said the council first issues verbal warnings to people without toilets and gives them two weeks to construct them.
He said the council takes further enforcement measures against those who fail to comply with the directive.
Agaba warned residents without toilets that the town council would conduct house-to-house inspections and that anyone found without a toilet would face the law.
