Rukungiri Students Urged to Turn Away from Worldly Pleasures and Return to God
Rukungiri: Students in Rukungiri have been urged to repent their sins, turn away from worldly riches and pleasures, and return to God’s Kingdom.
The call was made on October 4, by the Parish Priest of Kiyaga Church of Uganda in North Kigezi Diocese, Rev. Amos Musinguzi while preaching at the closure of a three-day conference held at Makerere College of Business and Computer Studies in Rukungiri District.
Rev. Musinguzi said many young people today have put more focus on worldly things and neglected God, which he said exposes them to temptations and involvement in evil acts.

The Parish Priest of Nyamifura Church of Uganda, Rev. Arthur Omara, said the main purpose of the conference was to help young people understand the tricks of the devil, especially the temptation of putting worldly treasures before the Kingdom of God.
The Academic Registrar, William Ainomugisha, said students from different schools benefited from the conference, with some accepting Jesus Christ into their lives.
