16 mothers gave birth at Karoli Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale in this year’s festive season.
Rukungiri: A total of sixteen babies were born in a period of three days at Karol Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale.
According to the facility’s maternity ward incharge Ampumuza Catherine, the babies were born between 23rd and 26th December 2023.
Ampumuza told our reporter who visted the facility on Wednesday that all the sixteen deliveries were safe and there were no twins among the new borns.
She further stated that all the mothers and their babies were in good health since no complications were registered.
Ampumuza informed our reporter that among the sixteen newly born babies, ten were males and six were females.
While breaking down the statistics, Ampumuza revealed that six babies were born on Christmas day (25th December 2023) and among these, four were males and two females.
She attributed the success in delivery services to hard working by the midwives and the co-operation between the expectant mothers and healthy workers.
