Rukungiri residents cautioned against Misuse of mosquito nets.
Rukungiri: The public has been challenged to drain stagnant water as the rainy season starts to prevent the bleeding of mosquitoes.
The advice was given by Alban Natukunda the Rukungiri District health educator while speaking to our reporter at his office.
He further asked people to slash bushes around their homes and sleep under treated mosquito nets.
Natukunda further said that Rukungiri District is expecting to receive mosquito nets from the ministry of health before the end September.

The Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Rukungiri Ahimbisibwe Wilberforce Ongom said they are ready to travel to different places making the district with the aim of monitoring the way how these mosquito nets are used.
He warned that whoever will be found misusing a treated mosquito net will be arrested and taken to courts of law because the government spends a lot of money buying them.

However the Rukungiri District LCV chairperson Geoffrey Kyomukama advised farmers to start planting crops in this is a rainy season instead of spending time in bars.
