Rukungiri District to Recruit Health Workers to Improve Service Delivery
Rukungiri: Rukungiri District Local Government is set to recruit new health workers in an effort to boost healthcare services across the district.
The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Hillary Agaba, confirmed the development during an interview with our news reporter on December 4, at Rukungiri district headquarters, revealing that the district received clearance to start the recruitment process on November 5, 2025. He said the exercise will be conducted within the next one and a half weeks to address the problem of low staffing in several health facilities.
Agaba explained that the district has been struggling to deliver key services, including maternal and general healthcare, due to inadequate staffing.
He further noted that the upcoming recruitment will include positions such as medical officers, clinical officers, health educators, laboratory assistants, and among others. According to Agaba, this move aims to strengthen service delivery and improve the overall quality of healthcare in the district.
