Rukungiri District Employees SACCO Members Urged to Strengthen Commitment and Financial Discipline 

Rukungiri: Members of the Rukungiri District Employees SACCO have been encouraged to cultivate a strong sense of ownership and actively participate in saving to enhance the SACCO’s growth and maximize its benefits. 

This call was made on March 1, by the Rukungiri District Education Officer, Jackson Turyahumura, who was the guest of honor at the 21st Annual General Meeting of the SACCO. The meeting was held at Riverside Hotel in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality. 

Turyahumura advised members to practice financial discipline by saving regularly, spending wisely, and avoiding unnecessary expenses to achieve their financial goals. 

Rukungiri District Commercial Officer, Caroline Amutuhaire, urged members to remain focused on development and emphasized the importance of unity in fighting poverty. She also stressed the need for transparency and accountability in managing SACCO funds, urging the board to prevent any form of mismanagement. 

The SACCO manager Pamela Turyazayo, encouraged members to buy more shares to strengthen their ownership and provide the SACCO with additional capital for investment and improved service delivery. She reiterated that the SACCO’s mission is to ensure the social and financial security of its members through efficient savings and credit services. 

Rukungiri District Employees SACCO is a legally registered entity under Uganda’s cooperative laws. It was officially registered on March 8, 2003, by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
