Rukungiri Artists Urged to Save and Buy More Shares for Association Development
Rukungiri: Members of the Rukungiri Artists Association have been encouraged to save money and buy more shares to strengthen the development of their association.
This message was delivered on November 4, by the Rukungiri District Commercial Officer, Grace Tayebwa, during a meeting of the association held in the Rukungiri District Board room.
Tayebwa explained that a savings account is used to deposit money for future goals, where the funds are kept safe and earn interest over time. Unlike a checking account used for daily spending, a savings account helps people prepare for emergencies, large purchases, or long-term plans.
She urged members to embrace self-sustainability and called for full mobilization of all association members to ensure active participation in meetings and activities. Tayebwa also encouraged artists to stay informed about new opportunities and development plans within the association.
Speaking at the same meeting, the Chairperson of the Rukungiri Artists Association, Laban Ainembabazi, who also serves as a pastor at Gate of Hope Church in Kanyakyende Cell, Bugangari Subcounty, urged both gospel and secular artists to work together as a team to develop their talents and strengthen the association.
