
Rujumbura Market Vendors SACCO Members Urged to Boost Savings and Borrowing
Rukungiri: Rukungiri District Commercial Officer Keith Ainebyoona has urged members of Rujumbura Market Vendors SACCO Emyooga to support the institution by borrowing loans, saving regularly, and buying more shares to strengthen its development.
Ainebyoona made these remarks on March 28, while addressing delegates during the SACCO’s 4th Annual General Meeting at Rukungiri Inn Hotel, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
He emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity in handling members’ funds, stressing that leaders must manage finances with transparency and accountability to avoid misuse or embezzlement of members’ money.
Mugisha John, the chairperson of Rujumbura Market Vendors SACCO Emyooga, revealed that the SACCO currently has 135 members.
He thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s administration for its continued support of various initiatives, including the Emyooga program. Mugisha encouraged the public to join the SACCO and save for a better future, noting that the institution currently holds over Shs. 70 million.
