Rukungiri New PAC Members take Oath.

Rukungiri: The recently appointed Members of Rukungiri district Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Tuesday December 10, 2024 took oath in a function held at the district headquarters in Rukungiri Municipality.

The newly appointed PAC members include Zepher Karyeija (chairperson), Sabiiti Kenneth Baabo, and Florence Katunguka.

The three incoming PAC members join two continuing members, Wilson Kabarebe and Margret Kyakumumpa, bringing the total number of PAC members to five.

Speaking at the function, the Rukungiri District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Waswa Masokoyi called on the new committee members to uphold confidentiality, emphasizing that the oath of secrecy is vital for protecting government information while maintaining transparency.

The Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Steven Nsubuga Bewayo congratulated the new PAC members upon their appointment and urged them to embrace unity and love while serving the people.

Geofrey Kyomukama, the Rukungiri district LCV Chairperson advised them (New PAC Members) to execute their work while following the Constitution of Uganda .

On behalf of the incoming members, Zepher Karyeija thanked the District Chairperson for giving them the opportunity to serve on this noble committee.

He pledged to work diligently to fulfill the NRM Manifesto and serve the people of Rukungiri.

The new PAC members now replaces the old ones including whose five year term came to an end.
