Kemishego SS pioneer Candidates celebrate 2023 UCE success

Ntungamo: The Ntungamo district Kadhi, Sheik Kashangirwe Swalle has asked parents to support schools in the implementation of new curriculum since it puts emphasis on
practicals.

He said implementation of the new curriculum requires a lot of money which calls for parents’ hand.

The district Kadhi was speaking on Thursday February 22nd 2024 at the celebration of 2023 Uganda certificate of Education (UCE) results of Kemishego Secondary school during the function that was held at school premises in Nyamunuka town council, Bwongyera sub-county, Ntungamo district.

Sheik Kashangirwe further tasked the School chairman board to ensure that teachers undergo training in the new curriculum from the implementers which will help Kemishego Secondary School to compete with other schools.

Hajji Kasimu Murekura who presided over the function urged parents to educate their children if they are to have a bright future.

Hajji Murekura said that through education, one can inherit the wealth of this world and advised parents to ensure that their children acquire education which will help them to accumulate eternal prosperity.

He further challenged the UCE 2023 best performers to treasure their future since life is what someone makes it.

Meanwhile, the Kemishego secondary school head teacher, Kamugisha Paul attributed the school’s victory to the co-operation between staff, heads of departments and school committees.

He further revealed that students passed because they engaged their teachers right away from senior one.

Kamugisha however stated that the school is still facing challenges in practical lessons because of lacking a well equiped laboratory and few computers. He asked the government to come to their rescue.

Of the 52 candidates who sat for UCE at Kemishego Secondary school, 5 passed in division one, 11 in division two, 17 in division three and 24 in division four.

The best performers were awarded with mattresses and some money as a token of appreciation as they join their next level of education.
