Kabale Woman murdered in cold blood, police launch hunt for suspects.

Kabale: Police in Kabale District are actively hunting for yet to be identified assailants who murdered an unidentified female adult, whose body was discovered in Buhoro village, Buhara sub-county.

According to a police statement, on Monday May 27, 2024, at unknown time, in Buhoro village, Buhara sub-county, Kabale District, the yet to be identified suspects, with malice caused the death of an unidentified female adult.

The incident was reported by Ainembabazi Geradin at Rwene Police Post, who alerted the district CID officer in Kabale.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson has informed the press that the scene was visited and documented by the district CID officer and a team of Police officers.

The body, which had bruises on the legs, eyes, and arms, was found just a few meters from the Uganda-Rwanda border.

Maate further revealed that the body was retrieved and taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination.

He also added that efforts to identify and arrest the suspects are underway.

He appealed to anyone who may be missing a loved one to visit the hospital mortuary to identify the deceased and ensure a decent burial.

He called on anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible for this incident to come forward and assist the police.
