
Country Radio 87.6FM Launches Listeners Club to Strengthen Service Delivery and Unity
Rukungiri: Country Radio 87.6FM has officially launched its Listeners Association, marking a major milestone aimed at enhancing operations and improving service delivery.
The launch took place on June 20, at the radio station premises in Kifunjo Cell, Kyatoko Ward, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
Speaking during the launch, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) Mabel Mirembe Karazarwe who represented the Rukungiri RDC, Steven Nsubuga Bewayo emphasized the importance of financial planning and proper money management. She officially launched the association and encouraged members to uphold unity and cooperation for shared growth.
The station manager, Jackline Tumuheirwe, popularly known as Auntie Jackie, represented the station director Dr. Ariyo Gracious. She expressed her gratitude and pledged the station’s continued commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and non-discriminatory service. She urged both staff and listeners to work together in unity for the success of the station.
Manager Jackie also announced that 4th July will be observed as Country Radio day of prayer and fasting, calling on everyone to dedicate the day to spiritual reflection and unity.
She urged presenters to care for and respect listeners, adding that the absence of listener engagement such as receiving no phone calls could indicate a lack of connection and cooperation.

The association chairperson, Karuma Onesmus, applauded Country Radio for bringing people together, noting that the platform encourages cooperation among listeners from different backgrounds.
Listeners including Lovence Korujeje, Annet commonly known as Maama Cathy, and Imelda Mangrate Mugarura thanked the station for initiating the association, which they said will help strengthen unity and cooperation among communities.
