Country FM 87.6 “Radio yeitu” holds mega end of year party
Rukungiri: It was a moment of contentment as Country FM “Radio yeitu” held it’s end of year mega party on Tuesday at Kings hotel in Rwobusisi cell, Kyamakanda parish, Buyanja sub-county Rukungiri district.
In a function officiated by the Rukungiri district deputy chief administrative officer (DCAO) Hillary Agaba, a couple of joy-creating activities were carried out including eating, drinking, conversing, as well as dancing.
Speaking at the function, the Deputy Chief Administrative officer Agaba commended Country Radio director Dr. Gracious Ariyo Kazara and his team for starting up a radio station and made it shine in its first six months despite the challenges they encounter.
He asked Country Radio staff members to ensure balanced reporting and pledged continuous support from the district leadership to the station.
Dr. Gracious Ariyo Kazara, the director Country FM Radio yeitu, hailed the station manager Jackie Tumuheirwe for working tirelessly and putting everything to order since the inception of radio and thanked staff members for co-operating with her.
He contributed two million shillings to the staff savings group to support its development.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of Metropolitan international University Dr Julius Arinaitwe asked the staff members to utilise the presence of Country FM by working hard for it’s development and enjoy fruits in future.
He further implored them to love their jobs and be self motivated.
The station manager Jackie Tumuheirwe commonly known as Auntie Jackie commended the station director for always supporting the station and living true to his words. She urged staff members to work towards achieving the goals of radio and further called on them to remain united.
Tumuheirwe further commended Rukungiri district local government leadership for co-operating with country Radio by providing them with information meant for public consumption.
