Centenary Bank Donates Motorcycle to Boost PDM Activities in Rukungiri
Rukungiri: Centenary Bank Rukungiri Branch has donated a motorcycle, registration number UEQ 399C, to Rukungiri District Local Government.
The handover ceremony was held on February 2, at the Rukungiri District headquarters and was witnessed by district leaders, heads of departments, and technical staff.
Speaking during the event, the Centenary Bank Rukungiri Branch Manager, Brian Kasaija, said the motorcycle will be assigned to the Department of Trade, Industry and Local Economic Development (TILED).
Kasaija explained that the motorcycle will support the implementation of Financial Inclusion Pillar Three under the Parish Development Model (PDM). He added that the donation is part of Centenary Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility and a sign of appreciation for the continued partnership between the bank and Rukungiri District in implementing the PDM.

The Rukungiri District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Frederick Byekwaso, together with the LC5 Chairperson, Geoffrey Kyomukama, thanked Centenary Bank for supporting the district. They asked the beneficiary department to properly maintain the motorcycle and ensure it is used for its intended purpose.
Kyomukama noted that this is not the first time Centenary Bank has supported the district, reminding guests that last year the bank donated a set of computers to the district.

The Assistant Resident District Commissioners, Dickens Muhoozi and Karen Kagisha, also appreciated Centenary Bank for maintaining good relations with the district. They encouraged the department to use the motorcycle responsibly to improve service delivery to the public.
