
Buyaja Lamp Holders Choir Launches Over 500 Gospel Songs to Spread God’s Word.
Rukungiri: Buyaja Lamp Holders Choir has officially launched a collection of over 500 gospel songs, marking a major milestone in their mission to preach the word of God through music.
The launch event took place on June 22, at Buyaja Playground in Buyaja Town Council, Rukungiri District, and attracted several dignitaries and members of the community.
While speaking at the event, Pastor James Mugisha of the Rukungiri Seventh-day Adventist Church encouraged all choirs to use music as a powerful tool to spread the gospel.
Pastor Mugisha, who is also the district leader of all Seventh-day Adventist churches in Rukungiri, called on choir members to serve with one heart and a unified spirit, producing harmonious and spiritually uplifting music.
The chairperson of the RUKASA Association, Alex Turyasasirwa which brings together choirs from Rukungiri and Kanungu, urged choir members to embrace teamwork, unity, and cooperation to strengthen their ministries.
The chairperson of Buyaja Lamp Holders Choir Akora Tumwesigye expressed gratitude to all the choirs from Rukungiri and Kanungu districts who came in support of the launch. He said their solidarity was a clear sign of brotherhood in spreading the gospel through music.
Christine Ngoma, who represented the Guest of Honour, the Member of Parliament for Rubabo County Naboth Namanya, urged parents to prioritize the education of both boys and girls. She emphasized that every child deserves equal opportunities to learn and succeed.
