Business Community in Rukungiri Urged to Support Farmers with Training 

Rukungiri: The business community in Rukungiri District has been encouraged to support farmers by providing training on the proper use of medicines, particularly for livestock and crops. 

This message was delivered on March 28, by the Western Regional Operations Officer of Bukora Chemical Industry Alex Tumusiime, during a meeting at Rukungiri Inn Hotel in Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality. 

Tumusiime explained that Bukora Chemical Industry’s mission is to empower communities by providing comprehensive solutions with exceptional service to promote sustainable community well-being. He emphasized that the company aims to improve agricultural productivity, enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills, and ensure better yields. 

He also shared the company’s vision, which focuses on fostering happy farmers at the heart of sustainable and thriving communities. Additionally, he highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting businesses and improving service delivery.

A technician from Bukora Chemical Industry Jim Mugumya, advised farmers to remain patient despite economic uncertainties, slow returns on investments, and other challenges. 

He also urged the business community to maintain accurate and detailed records to track financial performance and progress. Mugumya further explained some causes of business failure, such as mismanagement of resources, high competition, illegal trade, and non-compliance with government policies.

Farmers, including Semu Mbareba from Marumba B, Kanyinya Ward, Southern Division, Bruno Akunda from Kebisoni Town Council, and Benone Mwesigye from Kibale Cell, Western Division, Rukungiri Municipality, praised Bukora Chemical Industry for coming to Rukungiri District to educate them on the proper use of medicines for livestock and crops.
