A good name is more precious than gold-Bishop Onesmus
Rukungiri: The bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, Rt Rev Onesmus Asiimwe has asked Christians of St Andrew’s COU Karire parish in Kakinga Archdeaconry, Kebisoni sub county, Rukungiri district to embrace the holy spirit in their lives, if they are to live fulfilled lives.
Without the Holy Spirit, bishop Onesmus said they continue to live empty lives. The bishop was at the parish on Wednesday for his maiden pastoral visit, where he also confirmed 66 individuals into the Anglican Faith.
The bishop later led a holy communion service in the home of the late Onesmus and Margaret Tibemanya where he also had lunch.
Late Tibemanya was one of the founders of North Kigezi Diocese, principal Can Ndimbirwe Bible College and Archdeacon Kakinga Archdeaconry.
The bishop encouraged the people who attended the service to protect their names, saying that a good name gives satisfaction of the world’s pleasures.
