Father Of Bishop Onesimus Ngoboka Laid To Rest In Rukungiri

Rukungiri: The late Stephen Ngoboka, father of Bishop Onesimus Ngoboka of God’s Embassy Rukungiri, has been laid to rest at his home in Kiteme Village, Nyakagyeme Sub-county, Rukungiri District.

During the burial ceremony held on November 3, the founder and Senior Pastor of Grace Assembly Church in Kampala, Rt. Rev. Dr. Joshua Rwele urged Christians not only to care for their souls but also to keep their hearts close to Jesus Christ.

Preaching during the service, Bishop Rwele said many Christians spend time caring for their souls while keeping their hearts far from the Lord.

He reminded mourners that the human body comes from dust and will eventually return to dust, urging Christians to focus on eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe, called on mourners to remain united and avoid divisions based on politics and religion.

Bishop Asiimwe said religious leaders have a responsibility to bring people together regardless of their political or religious differences.

The children of the deceased revealed that their father had suffered from interstitial lung disease for a long time.

The family also appealed to mourners to continue maintaining the friendship and relationship they had shared with their family.

Meanwhile, Bishop Onesimus Ngoboka, son of the deceased, thanked all those who attended the burial and stood with the family during their difficult moment.
