Kashenyi S.S Old Students Donate 70 Bags of Cement to Boost School Infrastructure

Rukungiri: The Kashenyi Secondary School Old Boys and Girls Association has donated 70 bags of cement to the school, adding to the 202 bags previously handed over to support infrastructure development.

The donation was made on October 17, during the association’s third Annual General Meeting held at the school premises in Ruhinda Sub-county, Rukungiri District.

In his opening remarks, the school headteacher, Rev. Ivan Mwongyera, said the school currently has 1,209 students and 78 staff members, a population that has put pressure on the available infrastructure.

Mwongyera said the school urgently needs additional dormitories and classrooms, as well as an ICT laboratory, science laboratories and a library to improve the learning environment.

He called on all former students to join the association and contribute towards the school’s development, noting that even small contributions could make a significant difference.
