Immaculate Heart Girls School Dedicates Senior Four Candidates Ahead of UCE Exams
Rukungiri: Immaculate Heart Girls School Nyakibale in Rukungiri District has held a dedication Mass for its Senior Four candidates ahead of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations, which begin on October 12.
The Mass was held on October 11, in the school chapel in Rukungiri Municipality and was led by Rev Father Alexander Mwebembezi, a Catholic priest from Yesu Ahuriire Spiritual Renewal Centre and the Calvary Prayer Hill Mirama in Mirama village, Rugando Sub-county, Rwampara District.
In his homily, Fr Mwebembezi told the candidates that God had created each of them for a purpose and that they had a role to play in the development of Uganda through the different services they would offer in the future.
He encouraged the candidates to view the examinations as an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities, overcome fear and believe in their potential. He reminded them that reaching Senior Four is already an achievement, noting that not every learner gets the opportunity to reach that level.
Fr Mwebembezi urged the candidates to remain prayerful and rely on Jesus Christ for guidance, wisdom and strength throughout the examination period.

In her remarks, the school headteacher, Sister Sabina Tumusiime, encouraged the candidates to aim high, saying their destiny was not in the valley but on the mountain.
She said the candidates were well prepared academically, spiritually and physically, adding that they were disciplined and God-fearing learners who had the potential to produce results that would surprise the school and the wider community.
Sister Tumusiime further urged the candidates to represent the school with integrity, confidence and responsible behaviour as they sit their national examinations.

The former Second Deputy Head Girl, Doreen Agaba, who represented the O-Level candidates, encouraged her fellow learners to believe in themselves and remain united as they prepare for their examinations.
Agaba urged the candidates to appreciate the efforts of their teachers, parents and school administration for the support they had provided throughout their academic journey.
